To Market: Grand Army Plaza

Spring forward, indeed.

Ugly gray snow piles still held their ground, after a blizzardy Monday of 12 degrees. But Saturday dawned warm and bright, with the thermometer delightfully gliding toward 60, and so jackets were shed, children were fitted with helmets, dogs were clicked onto leashes, and pretty pink peach blossoms — the hit of this morning's market, perfectly epitomizing the desperate springtime yearning inside our pale chests — were carried home to fill overly large vases throughout Park Slope.

Glad for the sun on their faces this morning were:

• The farm from Rt. 94 in Salisbury Mills, NY, with its apples, apple cider donuts and, alongside its steaming hot cider cauldrons — spring! — cool cider by glass.
• The Pride of New York tent, today pouring Sparkling Pointe sparkling wines.
• Baker's Bounty {baked goods}
Rick’s Picks {pickled goodness}
• Madura Farms {remember those gorgeous yellow oyster mushrooms?}
• Tree-Licious Orchard & Bakery
• Milk Thistle {milks & creams}
• Evolutionary Organics
• Ronnybrook Farm Dairy
• Flying Pigs Farm
• Cato Corners {cheese}
• The CENYC recycling tent
• Buon Pane
Arcadian Pastures {meats & poultry}
• DiPaola Turkey Farm
• Philips Farm {(non-organic) vegetables, flowers and jams}
• Bradley Farm {eggs, jam, fingerling potatoes, pork, honey}
• Body & Soul
• Tickle Hill Winery
• Bread Alone
• Wilkow Orchards
• Lynnhaven Farm {goat cheese and goat yogurt}
• And, still one more reassuring nod toward the idea that winter was finally behind us: New Leaf, Argus Community {plants from Bronx County, NY}
